Valentine's Day Themed Match-It is a great game with minimal prep time to target wide variety of skills.
This is a great game to play during a Valentine's Day party in English Language arts or speech therapy
Students will look at the cards and try to find the matching object on each set of cards. This is a great pre-reading activity that focuses on vocabulary development.

The best part is that you can change the questions depending to work on a variety of goals (for example, If they are working on the main idea, you can add a question about the main idea of the passage).

This open-ended game is free and editable in Canva, making it an ideal tool for targeting any goal. It is a great way to engage students in a fun and interactive way, whether they are working on vocabulary, grammar, or conversation skills.
Which goals can be targeted with this game? 💖
Any goal can be targeted because this is an open-ended game! Here are some ideas:
- Repetitive drills! You can use this game to drill some basic concepts or speech sounds. This game is great for repetitive practice.
- Practice conversational skills by having students take turns asking and answering questions. For example, one student might ask, “What's your favorite Valentine's Day gift?” and the other would respond with, “My favorite Valentine's Day gift is a bouquet.”
- Target your student's language skills! Have the use of Valentine vocabulary words or action words in a sentence.
- Ask your younger students to describe a Valentine’s Day object using the EET.
- Use this game while discussing your favorite Valentine's Day books.
- Make up some articulation activities to go with the game.

How to play Valentine Bingo 💖
- Once you have created your Valentine bingo cards, you can print them out and start playing! Learn how with the detailed instructions included in the PDF.
- Hand one Valentine bingo board to each player in your class.
- Place the calling cards in a fun hat or party box for added fun.
- Read out the riddle and have your students guess the correct answer.
- Then they can mark off the squares on their bingo boards, and the first player to get five squares in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins the game.
- Use mini objects or erasers to mark off the boards!
- For durability, you can laminate the bingo boards or print them out, and place them in plastic sleeves.
