Canva Educators Get Access to 1000s of Free Resources
Speech-language pathologists, teachers, and graduate students working in the schools can become Canva Educators for free with a Canva for Education account.
Whether you’re creating visual supports, worksheets, or lesson plans for your individual student caseload, a Canva educator account gives you access to everything you need, for free.

Let’s break down what this program offers, how to sign up, so you can can support your therapy goals from preschool to 4th grade (and beyond).
Canva for Education
What is Canva for Education? It’s a free upgrade of Canva Pro, made just for teachers and educational institutions. When your education account is approved, you can access all the premium design features—no subscription required.

The best part? Canva educators don’t need to be graphic designers. You’ll get ready-made Canva teacher templates that you can tweak for your sessions:
- WH-question visuals
- Vocabulary flashcards
- Core boards for AAC
- Lesson plans for books and holidays
- Interactive games and visual schedules
It’s perfect for both whole-class push-in sessions and individualized therapy.
Additionally, Canva can be integrated with other educational tools and platforms, such as Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams.
Canva Educator Login
Firstly, go to Canva for Education and click “Sign up.” Use your school-issued email to create your Canva educator account. If your email isn’t recognized automatically, you can apply manually by uploading a document confirming your work at a school.
When you are approved, you’ll be able to:

- Collaborate with teachers, paras, or other SLPs.
- Create sign-up groups for your students (if you want them to collaborate).
- Organize folders by grade, theme, or goal.
Bonus tip: Create folders for each individual student, so you can track what you’ve used with each child.

Did you know that Canva offers short, professional development modules through its Canva Design School? These free self-paced training modules show you how to:
